ABOUT THE CD

This "toe-tapping" "foot-stompin' " project will definitely take you to church!! The focus of the CD is on paradise. Vanessa J. penned the title cut, "In My New Home." The album includes preaching excerpts by Bishop Roger J. Hairston. The background instrumentation and vocalists are extremely uplifting and the project is a must-have in every gospel music library.

ABOUT VANESSA J.

Vanessa J. heralds from a family of singers and so it was only natural that she should start singing at age 5. Since her humble beginnings with the Children's Choir of the Union Grove Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio, she has sang with the Angelic Choir under the direction of Bishop Roger J. Hairston, the Gospel Music Workshop of America, the Belltones, and The Columbus Choral Union, just to name a few. She has also shared the stage with and been influenced by some of the greatest in the gospel arena: Charles Knix, Isaac Douglas, James Cleveland, Milton Bingham, Rodney Posey, Kenny Eldridge, Eddie Howard, Jr. and Angela Spivey.

In addition to singing at churches, weddings, and funerals, Vanessa was also bestowed the honor of singing at the inauguration for the esteemed Ohio Secretary of State, Kenneth Blackwell. 

Vanessa is president of the church choir, the Voices of Zion and is frequently featured as a lead vocalist. Vanessa loves to sing and feels that the music ministry that God has given to her is...
